Welcome to the IBM-supported network, neighbor. Only text and audio entries are supported. Bear in mind that posts characters make are subject to surveillance from the powers that be—and that the punishments for spreading subversive thought are no joke. Interestingly, characters may find particularly subversive posts frozen or removed completely from others' view—while the network post in this community will remain up, other characters cannot see or respond to it if it is censored by NPCs.

Being that the town of Sweetwater is under heavy surveillance during the Red Scare, characters can expect a degree of censorship. The things they say, any subversive thoughts they might express, the knowledge about which the tip off the guards in the panopticon... all come with the same serious consequences as IC behavior in logs. The network is a useful tool to get a message out to a large group of people, but it's also very visible and easily monitored.

If a network post is deemed subversive, it will, at minimum, be censored. This will be indicated with a mod comment to the entry, and "(CENSORED)" must be added to the subject line of the post. Other characters cannot see or interact with a censored/deleted post, but they're left up on the comm as part of the storyline. All posts about getting to the bottom of things, questioning what's wrong with the townspeople, mentioning torture, or mentioning events that have been stated to be a forbidden topic of discussion should be marked as (CENSORED) when they're posted to cut down on the amount of mod work.

All network posts have to be admin-approved so that they can be deemed as censored/or permitted by NPCs from the beginning.
